It is a SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) accredited program, upon completion of which, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) in WSQ Food Safety and Hygiene Level 1.

This programme aims to equip food handlers of both retail and non-retail food establishments with the knowledge and application skills to follow food safety and hygiene procedures and policies, as well as maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of premises.

The objectives of the programme are as follow:

  • To equip the learner with the foundations of food safety and hygiene while handling, cooking and storing food
  • To enable the participants to apply the learned skills to the workplace
  • Certify the Food Handlers to be competent to work in the Food and Beverage industry in Singapore as per SFA requirements

This programme trains and assesses students on the mandatory requirements to be a certified food handler in Singapore. The topics include personal hygiene, equipment hygiene, work area hygiene and safety while preparing, serving & storing food items.

6. Training Quality and Outcomes Measurement Survey (TRAQOM) by SkillsFuture Singapore

SSG will conduct the two post-course evaluation surveys in the following manner:

  • The Quality Survey will be conducted after the course end date through an electronic survey. The survey will be emailed to the trainee through SSG’s central survey system.
  • The Outcomes Survey will be administered once a year through a contracted vendor. The survey will be sent to shortlisted trainees who have completed their full qualification course(s) or CU(s).
  • Trainee is to provide your personal email and phone number for SSG to conduct the surveys.
  • All corporate companies registering their staff for training are to avoid using centralized corporate email and have to use their staff email and phone number for SSG to conduct the surveys.
