FOOD SAFETY COURSE LEVEL 4 (ENGLISH)

It is a SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) accredited programme upon completion of which, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) in Food Safety and Hygiene Level 4.

Upon completion of the programme, you will develop advanced knowledge and application skills in:

  • Applying HACCP principles to design, implement, maintain, and update a HACCP‑based Food Safety Management System (FSMS)

  • Conducting internal audits of FSMS and managing non‑compliances

  • Ensuring your system meets local SFA regulations and international food safety standards

You will be equipped to lead food safety operations at supervisory level and qualify as an Advanced Food Hygiene Officer.

Participants will gain in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience through the following key topics:

  • Introduction to the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) System and Food Safety Management System (FSMS)

  • Understanding and applying Pre-Requisite Programmes (PRPs) to support food safety

  • Step-by-step application of HACCP principles to develop, implement, and maintain a FSMS

  • Conducting internal audits to assess FSMS performance and address non-compliance

4. Trainees must be hired in accordance with the Employment Act and fully sponsored by their employers for the course
5. Trainees must be Singaporeans or SPRs

Minimum entry requirements:

1.  Have attained Food Safety Course Level 3
2.  Able to speak, read, and write in English
3.  Applicants are required to source a food establishment to plan and draw up the Food Safety Management System and onsite assessment

  • Food caterer
  • Grinding mill
  • In-house kitchen
  • Licence for food processing establishment
  • Licence for slaughter-house
  • Manufacture of dumplings

  • Manufacture of rice, bean and flour cakes

  • Enrolment is subject to availability, and incomplete applications will not be processed.

  • Programme contents and all prices are subject to change.

  • Trainees who choose to drop out prior to successful completion will be requested to pay the programme fees in full and will not be entitled to any SOAs or certificates.

  • Required Attire:
    - White/Pastel collared shirt (no see-through, sleeveless, revealing designs or patterns).​
    - Black/Dark Pants (no leggings and jogging pants).​
    - Covered non-slip shoes (no slippers or high heels).​
    - No hair/head accessories such as caps, hats, or other headgear.​

  • Failure to comply with grooming standards will result in non-participation.

6. Training Quality and Outcomes Measurement (TRAQOM) Survey by SkillsFuture Singapore.

SSG will conduct the two post-course evaluation surveys in the following manner:

  • The Quality Survey will be conducted after the course end date through an electronic survey. The survey will be emailed to the trainee through SSG’s central survey system.
  • The Outcomes Survey will be administered once a year through a contracted vendor. The survey will be sent to shortlisted trainees who have completed their full qualification course(s) or CU(s).
  • Trainee is to provide your personal email and phone number for SSG to conduct the surveys.
  • All corporate companies registering their staff for training are to avoid using centralized corporate email and have to use their staff email and phone number for SSG to conduct the surveys.
