SPECIALIST DIPLOMA IN CULINARY WELLNESS (E-Learning) (Teach out by June 2026)
The Specialist Diploma in Culinary Wellness (E-Learning) is a 6-month online programme that provides you with the opportunity to learn about cuisine and health in a holistic manner. This programme equips individuals, F&B and health professionals with a deeper understanding of cuisine and wellness, especially with the new lights being thrown on the gut microbiome and the scientific interpretation of old traditional cuisines.
At the end of this pathway programme, learners may progress to the 1-year Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Business Studies with Entrepreneurship (Top-up) degree by the University of West London at the At-Sunrice campus in Singapore*.
Upon completion, the graduate is awarded with a Specialist Diploma in Culinary Wellness (E-Learning) by At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy.

6 months (Part-Time Programme) (Synchronous + Asynchronous E-learning)
*Classes are held once a week on weekdays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
With new insights emerging on the links between food, gut health, and traditional culinary wisdom, the 6-month online Specialist Diploma in Culinary Wellness (E-Learning) offers an opportunity to explore cuisine and wellness in an integrated manner. The programme equips individuals, F&B, and health professionals with a deeper understanding of how culinary practices, nutrition, and food science intersect to promote overall well-being and graceful aging—through the study of food psychosociology, food chemistry, nutrition, culinary science, and the emerging science of the gut microbiome.
Delivery Methods:
Virtual classroom sessions, pre-recorded demonstrations and/or hands-on practice with structured e-learning modules
The programme consists of the following modules:
- Application of Principles of Food Psychosociology: This module enables the learners to acquire the ability to understand and apply the factors that affect the choices and expectations of consumers in their choices of food locally and globally.
- Creative Entrepreneurship: In this module, learners will get an opportunity to develop their own business plan through skills and knowledge acquired from lectures and discussions with instructors, industry experts and fellow peers.
- Application of Principles of Culinary Science: This module focuses on culinary hands-on skills. Learners will learn basic health and hygiene techniques, and knife skills followed by hands-on cooking sessions of the East and the West, including some blue zone culinary practises.
- Introduction to Basic Food Chemistry: The learning objective of this module is for the students to understand the chemical composition of foods, with the chemical structure and properties of food constituents, and demonstrate the chemical changes that food undergoes during processing, cooking and storage.
- Food, Nutrition and Gut Microbiome: This module covers and focuses on understanding the human microbiome and Metabesity.
- Capstone Project: This is the culmination of the 6-month programme that allows students to use all their learned skills and knowledge to create a business plan related to culinary wellness. This also forms a consolidated assessment for the six modules.

Singaporean/Singapore PR Applicants:
• Obtained at least a pass in an At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy, Polytechnic, ITE diploma or equivalent qualifications in the relevant field of study
• Completed/Exempted from National Service (for Singaporean Males only)
International Applicants:
• At least 19 years old; AND
• Obtained at least a pass in a diploma or equivalent qualifications in the relevant field of study; AND
• IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL (internet-based total) 46 - 59 / WPL Level 5
- Enrolment is subject to availability and incomplete applications will not be processed.
- The programme is conducted in English and proficiency in the language is a requirement.

- Trainee who chooses to drop out prior to successful completion will be requested to pay the programme fees in full and will not be entitled to any SOAs or certificates.
- The following items are compulsory and must be purchased before the commencement of the programme:
- Medical Insurance,
- Fee Protection Scheme.
- Food items from all practical sessions shall be consumed in the Academy, either during lunch or dinner time.
- For food safety purposes, food items are not allowed to be taken home for consumption.
- Students are required to meet the following criteria in order to obtain their relevant certificates:
- A minimum attendance of 90% and above
- Pass all assessments required by the programme;
- Adhere to the Student Code of Conduct.

5. An online personality test will be sent to the applicant (if applicable).
6. Application Outcome
Applicants will receive a confirmation via email.
Successful applicants will receive an acceptance email, which includes the Letter of Acceptance (LOA), Advisory Note, and Student Contract.
