Ideal for: Aspiring chefs with a passion for cooking and service, a motivation to excel, and dreams of a global career in fine dining. At the end of this pathway programme, students may progress into the Specialist Diploma in Food Entrepreneurship or the Specialist Diploma in Culinary Wellness by At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy, and/or to the 1-year Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Business Studies with Entrepreneurship (Top-up) degree by the University of West London at the At-Sunrice campus in Singapore*. Graduates may also progress to other degree courses at any of our Partner Universities.

Eastern and Western Cuisine
With a unique Study and Work pedagogy, this diploma allows you to go on an experiential journey during which you will learn a wide range of cooking techniques – from the fundamentals to the advanced of Eastern and Western cuisines. You will also take part in an enriching apprenticeship programme working in established hotels and restaurants (both Asian and Western) that will groom you for the vibrant F&B industry during your course of study.

Study and Work
Term 1 comprises full-day classroom learning and on-the-job training in At-Sunrice.
Term 2 and Term 3 consist of classroom learning (study) and apprenticeship (work) rotation. Students apprentice either at one Asian or one Western restaurant for a period of 6 months.
Term 4 comprises full-day classroom learning and capstone in At-Sunrice.
Term 5 comprises 6 months Singapore Industry Internship or Overseas Industry Intership. International students may choose to do their industry internship in their home country via Own Country Industry Internship.
Work Allowances
All students will receive a minimum monthly allowance of $1,200 for apprenticeship in Terms 2 & 3, and $1,600 for Singapore Industry Internship in Term 5.
The (SCTP) Diploma in Culinary Arts is a full-time 18-month programme consisting of modules that have been carefully curated to enable learners to progressively build comprehensive culinary competencies—from fundamental culinary techniques to advanced specialised skills—while also developing essential teamwork, communication, and supervisory capabilities that prepare learners for future roles in kitchen operations and management.

3. The application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Payment can be made by credit/debit card via the online application form.
4. Recruitment representative will verify the originality of your documents, i.e. passport/NRIC, educational certificates and transcripts.
5. A personality test will be sent to the applicant and must be completed. A face-to-face interview (for local applicants) or an online interview (for international applicants) will be arranged, if applicable.
6. Application Outcome
Applicants will receive a confirmation via email.
Successful applicants will receive an acceptance email, which includes the Letter of Acceptance (LOA), Advisory Note, and Student Contract.
7. Payment of Programme Fees
Payment can only be made after signing the LOA, Advisory Note, and Student Contract. For available methods of payment, please refer to the FAQs.
8. Student Pass (for International Students):
- All international students must complete a medical check-up in Singapore before receiving a Student Pass. At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy will arrange the medical check-up for you and assist with your visit to the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) to collect your Student Pass, which will be valid for the duration of your studies.
- Students are required to pay a SGD 60 Student Pass issuance fee and, for most nationalities, a SGD 30 multiple-entry visa fee. These fees are payable only after your Student Pass application is approved and your medical report is submitted.
- All arrangements, including assistance with the medical check-up and ICA formalities, are included in the Administrative Fee, so no additional payment is needed for these services.
- Students will be notified by email with detailed instructions on the Student Pass application procedures.
