How Does Our Online Programme Work?
The DigiChef Experience

The Chef Martin Yan Online Programme is a 14 weeks e-learning programme consisting of synchronous and asynchronous self-directed online study for Certificate and Higher Certificate Level. 

It allows students to study the fundamentals and slowly progress to advanced skills and knowledge in the Culinary Arts at their own pace individually. The online programme comprises an integrated and broad-based training approach that includes soft-skills components necessary to deepen and broaden specific job occupations. Hence it enables our students to be future-ready and adapt to the fast-changing/dynamic Food and Beverage work environment.

The content of this programme follows the Culinary Arts progression track and is benchmarked against the Food Services Skills Framework of SkillsFuture Singapore.

Upon successful completion, the graduate is awarded a Certificate and Higher Certificate in Culinary Arts (E-Learning), Pastry and Bakery (E-Learning), or Food and Beverage Management (E-Learning) by At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy.

Ideal candidates for this programme should have a passion for culinary arts, possess basic computer skills, good moral character, be artistic and disciplined. All prospective students need to complete an interview and online profiling test upon successful submission of application forms. All local and international applicants should meet the following minimum entry requirements (MERs) for this programme.

  • Passion for Food & Beverage Management
  • At least 16 years old
  • Possess basic computer s

Educational Qualifications

  • US High school educational level or equivalent qualifications
  • Advanced level of Online English Bridging Course/IELTS 5.0/TOEFL (internet-based total) 35-45/WPL 5 or be a native speaker.
Programme Requirement
  • Have access to a laptop/desktop
  • Enrolment is subject to availability and incomplete applications will not be processed.
  • The program is conducted in English and proficiency in the language is a requirement.
  • Program contents and all prices are subject to change.
  • Trainee who chooses to drop out prior to successful completion will be requested to pay the program fees in full and will not be entitled to any certificates.
  • The following items are compulsory and must be purchased before the commencement of the program:
    • Medical Insurance,
    • Fee Protection Scheme.
  •  Students are required to meet the following criteria in order to obtain their relevant certificates: 
    1. Minimum attendance of 75%
    2. Pass all assessments required by the program;
    3. Abide to the student code of conduct

International Applicants

Copy of Driver's License, Social Security Card or Passport

Recent Passport-sized color photograph (taken against a plain white background)

Copy of highest educational qualification (Certificate / Transcript) & Official Translation (if not in English)

 

Please allow approximately 15 minutes for the online application and ensure all documents are duly completed and submitted online. Any incomplete application will not be processed.

Deadline of Submission

The deadline changes slightly from year to year depending on the intake schedule of the culinary program. 

Notice of Awards

  • The winner will be publicly announced through all our social media platforms.
  • Winners will receive a copy of the Advisory Note, Letter of Acceptance (LOA) and/or Standard PEI Student Contract via email. 

Admission Fee

Winners will pay a US$100 admission fee (non-refundable) due upon submission of the application form to the online culinary program.
