Q: Who has influenced you the most in your life?
A: In the culinary aspect, it would be Chef David Chang of Momofuku. He showed me that if you believe in your own creations, no matter how conventionally different it may seem, people will believe you.
Q: What’s your greatest aspiration?
A: To make the daily lives of people seem greater, with food.
Q: What’s the best thing that you’ve learned in At-Sunrice?
A: Asian cuisine. It did not seem important at first, but later on, I realised that the freshest and most seasonal Asian produce are available here, so why not make the best out of it?
Q: What’s your most memorable experience in At-Sunrice?
A: Eating honey soy chicken drumlets, bean sprouts and rice, by Uncle Tan.
